The Badgers men's basketball team became just the second NCAA Division 1 basketball team this season to play an entire game and not shoot a free throw. It was that lack of aggressiveness that kept Wisconsin from beating the number 11 team in the country, Ohio State 58-49.
Buckeye's junior Deshaun Thomas scored a game high 25 points in the win. Thomas came alive in the second half after UW controlled the first half. The Badgers hit a major dry spell where they did not score a point for seven minutes early in the second half. During that time Ohio State scored 15 points and pulled away from unranked Wisconsin.
Traevon Jackson led the Badgers with 12 points while Jared Berggren added 11 points. The Badgers took more three-point shots (28) than they did two-point field goals (8 of 24) in the game.
