The Packers could be in for Brett Favre part two with Donald Driver. The MVP quarterback was forced out of title town for the next best thing in Aaron Rodgers and Driver has young receivers like Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb pushing the all-time Packers leader in receptions out the door.
Driver may consider a final year in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings after the team expressed a desire to bring in the veteran. FOX 11 in Green Bay is reporting that the 37-year-old free agent wide receiver has an option to extend his career if he so chooses.
Packers quarterback Graham Harrell said he is not surprised by the announcement.
It has been rumored that the Packers have offered Driver a public relations position with the franchise if he chooses to retire in the green and gold.
