The Green Bay Blizzard opened their 2013 Indoor Football League schedule with a convincing 67-47 victory over the Cedar Rapids Titans last night. The pre-season game for Green Bay included six touchdowns and a defensive touchdown on one of the first plays of the game.
Green Bay, again led by two-time IFL Coach of the Year, Robert Fuller, got off to an incredibly hot start as linebacker Derek Earls recovered a Cedar Rapids fumble for a touchdown on the Titans first drive.
Green Bay would never trail in the exhibition game. The Blizzard, who have been in training camp practice since February 1 will make roster cuts within the next few days in preparation for next week’s season opener. The Blizzard will take on the defending United Bowl Champions Sioux Falls Storm on Friday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available at the Resch Center Box Office.
