Gibraltar Grad Forkert Inks Summer Baseball Contract With Mallards

Gibraltar graduate of 2010 Sam Forkert signed a summer contract in the North Woods League this week. After playing on a temporary contract near the end of last year's North Woods League season, Forkert earned a full season contract this year.

Forkert is preparing for the college baseball season at Marian University in Fond du Lac majoring in Business. Sam is the grand nephew of Ryne Duren, who pitched for the New York Yankees. 

Forkert will again pitch for the Madison Mallards.
