The high school boys basketball regional pairings came out last weekend and Luxemburg-Casco drew Southern Door in the first round. Coincidentally the teams had to play one another Tuesday night. Southern Door had home court advantage last night. L-C will host the regional rematch next Tuesday.
The Spartans got an early jump on the Eagles leading by seven after one and by 18 at the half. The Eagles clawed back in the second half but their comeback bid came up way short 67-49.
Carson Falk led L-C with 14 points while Caleb Willems added 13 points. One of the Packerland Conference's top three scorers, Mitchel Neubauer, had a game-high 15 points for the Eagles.
