
The game of the night in area high school girls basketball was played on parents night in the Town of Gardner. Eagle Gymnasium was rocking when Southern Door upset Luxemburg-Casco 42-40 Monday night. Senior Cheyanne McFarlin scored 16 points, including the winning free throws with four seconds left on the clock. Megan Hawkey added 10 points for the Eagles in the win. Lexi Kinnard led Luxemburg-Casco with 15 points.
Algoma continued its winning ways with a 50-37 win over Green Bay Preble. Senior guard Taylor Schmidt tallied 17 points while freshman post player Anna Dier added 11 in the victory.
Sevastopol stayed with Green Bay West but eventually fell 41-34 in non-conference action. Holly LaPlant led the Pioneers with 14 points while Lucy Bley added 11 in the loss.
