The latest snowfall has breathed new life into Door and Kewaunee County snowmobile trails. After melting snow created poor trail conditions on Monday and Tuesday, it was likely trails were going to close today if the Door Peninsula did not get a fresh new coat of white snow.
Snowmobilers got exactly what they were looking for and all area trails remain open.
Plowed and open fields may lack snow cover and riders are urged to watch out for water, slush and icy patches along the trails in low lying areas. Snowmobilers are also encouraged to stay on the marked trails and respect adjoining property owners. Hundreds of gracious landowners are responsible for the county’s state-funded and club trails. Please respect their property and their privacy.
