The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame announced today that it has chosen the winners of the fourth annual Packers Art Contest, which celebrates National Youth Art Month in March.
Winners in the four categories were Christy Braun, Sturgeon Bay, (grades K-2); Blake Robbins, Dalton, Wis., (grades 3-5); Madi Hollman, Waukesha, Wis., (grades 6-8); and Mirranda Gower, Townsend, Mont., (grades 9-12).
Beginning today, a variety of the art pieces from the contest will be on display in celebration of National Youth Art Month. In addition to having their artwork displayed in the Hall, the winners will receive four complimentary passes to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, a $100 gift card to the Packers Pro Shop and a certificate in recognition of their winning piece signed by Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy.
The Hall received more than 500 entries, in a variety of mediums, representing this year’s theme, ‘Pick Your Packer.’ Entries came from throughout Wisconsin, as well as from Florida, Montana, Illinois and Utah. The pieces were judged by art students from St. Norbert College based on creativity, originality and overall impression.
“It’s great to have so many young Packers fans share their art expertise with the Hall of Fame,” said Kris Broderick, Packers Hall of Fame educational coordinator. “We are proud of all the exceptional entries that came in and are excited to display them for our guests to enjoy.”
Artists who are interested in retrieving their pieces may arrange a pickup appointment between April 15 and May 4 by calling 920/569-7133. Artists should call three days prior to the desired pickup date to ensure that the artwork is ready and available.
