Cardinals right-hander Kyle Lohse turned in his Cardinals baseball cap for a Brewers emblem as the 34 year old inked a three-year contract with Milwaukee. Reports of a deal that guarantee Lohse a $33 million base salary over three years. The acquisition did not come without sacrifice however. The Brewers lost their first-round draft pick, number 17 overall.
Last year, the right-hander went (16-3) with a 2.86 ERA for the Cardinals. In five seasons with St. Louis he compiled a record of (55-35) with a 3.90 ERA in 137 games. The move likely signals the demotion of either Mike Fiers or Wily Peralta to the Minor League.
