Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley may be the most controversial player in the locker room but the team felt he was worth $8.25 million, apparently. The big target tweeted yesterday afternoon, "Ecstatic 2 b back w @packers. Best place on earth. Thank u 2 my agents & family," he wrote.
The Tweet means Green Bay paid the 25 year old a $3 million bonus Monday and locks the player in for at least one more season.
Finley’s 2012 numbers were subpar. He caught 61 passes for 667 yards and two touchdowns and led the team in drops. For his three year career, Finley has 137 receptions for 1,735 yards and 11 touchdowns.
