Teachers and youth educators can be trained as Basic Archery Instructors (BAI) on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Green Bay. Registration is limited to fifteen and is for anyone 18 years of age and older. The eight-hour instructor workshop fee is $75. National Archery in the Schools (www. archeryintheschools.org) is a nationally recognized program designed for 4th – 12th grades. It features international style target archery. Core content covers archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, core strengthening physical fitness and self-improvement. Participants shoot at 80 cm bulls-eye targets, with an emphasis on safety.
The BAI training workshop on April 24th will take place at the Agriculture and Extension Service Center, 1150 Bellevue St., Green Bay (920-391-4610). Peninsula State Park staff are attending the training and will host archery programs the weekend of August 10, 2013.
