Packerland Conference Baseball Monday Night Recap



Gibraltar notched another win in Packerland Conference baseball Monday afternoon 9-5 over Southern Door. Vikings senior Matt Hecht won the pitching matchup with 11 strikeouts. His efforts not only helped Gibraltar on the field but with over $30 per strikeout being pledged by community members, over $300 more was raised for Door Cancer and the Bo Johnson Foundation.

Eagles catcher Mike Larsen had three hits and Austin Rohe blasted a home run to pace Southern Door.

Sturgeon Bay held on to an 8-7 win over Sevastopol. Chase Mickey’s seventh inning heroics helped Lucas Stephenson score the winning run. Riley Cordier was the winning pitcher.

Oconto continued to impress with an 8-1 win over Algoma. Blue Devils pitcher Tyler Trepanier allowed just four hits in the win.

Kewaunee took two from NEW Lutheran 11-1 and 5-2 Monday. Logan Brusky struck out 12 in six innings to pick up the game one victory. Preston Olszewski allowed just three hits in game two for the Storm victory.
