With a little bit of help from everyone, the Milwaukee Brewers won a 2-0 series-opener over the first-place Braves at Miller Park.
Brewers’ starter Wily Peralta blanked the Braves over seven innings, allowing just two hits, four walks and striking out four.
Norichika Aoki watched the birth of his son Thursday, then connected for three singles Friday and scored one of Milwaukee’s two runs. In the fifth inning Jean Segura scored the second run on a solo home run and had two other hits on the night.
On defense, Aoki made a big catch to end the fifth inning likely saving two runs.
Game two between Atlanta and Milwaukee is set for 3:10 this afternoon.
