Race night number 7 at Thunderhill Raceway pays tribute to long time track supporter Terry Simon. Thunderhill hosts their 2nd Annual Terry Simon Memorial on Saturday night. Terry and his wife Darlene sat in the same seats every weekend in the grandstand while cheering on their favorite drivers. Saturday's night of racing will be dedicated in his memory. Jim Olson Motors will be hosting the nightly events and the Street Stocks will be in the spotlight with driver introductions.
Thunderhill will also host The Badger Stock Car Tour as a part of their Thursday Night Thunder special on July 17. Racing starts at 7pm. This will be the second stop of the week for the BST series as they also race at Seymour Wednesday and Oshkosh Friday night. The driver with the best point average over the 3 nights will be crowed the Iron Man and take home $1000. Thunderhill fans are encouraged to follow the BST Iron Man challenge and watch the best in the Stock Car division compete.
The Thursday Night Thunder special also features IMCA Sport Mods and Street Stocks. The Sport Mods will be racing for IMCA National, Regional and State points. It will not be a track point night for any division.
