Door County fishing guide Gary Nault did well at Friday's Lund Mania Fishing Tournament at Minnesota's Otter Tail Lake. Really well.
His team won the thing.
Nault, the voice of the DoorCountyDailyNews.com Fishing Report, teamed with Jason White of Chippewa Falls to capture the grand prize at the walleye tourney, catching six fish weighing a total of just over 23½ pounds.

Nault tells us he's won some smaller tournaments but never anything like this.
Nault says the top ten teams were announced and all took turns in the "hot seat," but the two didn't know they won until it was revealed that Gary Roach, the angler known as "Mr. Walleye," couldn't beat their weight.

Nault says they caught all their fish with leeches on a pink Phelps floater with a small walking sinker.
"Those fish I would say all came within 10 yards of each other," says Nault. "We found a little spot, it was kind of a luck thing, and every time we went through there we caught at least one fish."
But Nault tells us at that point they had no clue how they were doing compared with the rest of the teams.
"You start to think, 'Well, if we're doing this good and the fish are biting that good, everybody else has got to be doing the same,' so we had we had no idea that we had won the tournament until the last minute."
Aside from a big trophy and the tournament title, the two also take home the grand prize of a 2014 Lund 1675 Impact fishing boat valued at just under $21,000.
