The Green Bay Packers and Sargento this year will mark their 11th season of “Touchdowns for Charity,” a program that helps alleviate hunger in Wisconsin.
For each touchdown scored by the Packers during the regular season, Sargento will donate $1,000 to the Hunger Task Force and $500 to Paul’s Pantry.
“Like a great running back who fights for every inch, we’re dedicated to fighting hunger one touchdown at a time,” said Louie Gentine, president and chief customer officer of Sargento Foods Inc. “As the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers, Sargento is proud to give Packers fans another reason to root for the green and gold.”
Since partnering 11 years ago, Sargento has contributed more than $920,500 to Wisconsin food charities.
During Packers home games, announcements will be made after every touchdown indicating the support for the program.
