Brewers closer Jim Henderson nearly gave away a comfortable lead in the ninth inning on national television last night against the cardinals. The curveball got Henderson out of a major jam when he struck out Matt Adams during an at bat when he used the bender exclusively.
Wily Peralta started on the hill and went five innings allowing three earned runs on five hits, while walking five and striking out three.
Milwaukee took a 4-0 lead after two innings on four hits. The Brewers tacked on two insurance runs in the seventh inning.
