Storm play Level Two Playoffs this afternoon on 96.7 FM WBDK

This afternoon the Kewaunee Storm will take the long trip to play Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Winnebago. The Storm enters in as a two seed and the Vikings are a six seed. The six seeded Vikings will host the game because of their first round upset from Northern Elite. Kewaunee comes in to today after a 35-0 win over Brillion.

Last week, the Storm played well on all sides of the ball with a balanced offense and holding Brillion to under 100 yards of total offense. Austin Kassner had 125 yards rushing and Caleb Johnson managed the game well in the route.

A big tough opponent is what stands in the Storms way of advancing to the level 3 round of the Division 5 playoffs. Winnebago Lutheran Academy is a run option team that has a running back who ran for well over 1,000 yards and double digit touchdowns.  The Storm has a tough defense of battle against the potent rushing attack of the Vikings.

Today’s game starts with the Salmon’s Meats pregame show starting at 12:30 and kick off at 1. Join Nate Alberts and Paul Schmitt for the call. Winner advances to play Cedar Grove Belgium next weekend.
