Badgers Beat Hawkeyes

Wisconsin broke away in the second half yesterday to win at Iowa, 28-9.

The Badgers, 22nd ranked so far this season, were up 7-6 at the half. Senior running back James White scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns, with 132 yards on the day. Joel Stave was 11 of 19 passes for 144 yards, two scores, and an interception.

Wisconsin's last 12 victories have come by double-digit margins. The Badgers remain a game behind Ohio State for the Big Ten Leaders' Division lead. With Saturday’s win, Wisconsin is now 4-1 in the conference and 6-2 overall.

Jake Rudock threw for 109 yards and a pick for Iowa.  C.J. Beathard threw for 70 yards and an interception in relief. The Hawkeyes dropped to 2-3 in the conference and 5-4 overall.

Wisconsin host BYU in a non-conference game next Saturday.
