Classic Cars will be on the move this weekend in Door County for the 2nd Annual Ephraim Hill Climb and Concours.  This unique car show will include a short hill climb on Saturday from noon until 3pm, featuring a beautiful and challenging course along the steep Niagara Escarpment in Ephraim.  Bill Wegehaupt, who also works at Road America and will be bringing in SCCA corner workers for the event, says this is not your average antique car show.

On Sunday, the classic cars will be showcased and positioned along Eagle Harbor from 11 AM until 3pm for a public viewing of the vintage automobiles up close.  For more information on the event click on the link below:

Door County Community Foundations Support Local Artists More Than Just With Money

[singleImage image="1443" img_size="large" img_width="0" img_height="0" img_link_target="_self" width="1/1" el_position="first last"]

The Door County Community Foundation impact on the arts in the area goes beyond issuing thousands of dollars of grants to galleries and other local organizations. Every three months, different Door County artists are invited to show off their work at the foundation's offices in Sturgeon Bay. Door County Community Foundation President and CEO Bret Bicoy says this quarter's featured artist, Marjorie Mau, is a great example of what the program tries to accomplish.

You can see Mau's work Monday through Friday at the Door County Community Foundation or attend the reception in her honor this Saturday evening from 5 to 7. The Door County Community Foundation will also celebrate local artists at its Artrageous event in Sister Bay next Saturday with sales of artwork going to benefit the Women's Fund.

[singleImage image="1433" img_size="medium" img_width="0" img_height="0" img_link_target="_self" width="1/1" el_position="first last"]

The Area Fall Festivals continue this Saturday and Sunday with Baileys Harbor's Autumn Fest.   Jessica Hatch, events coordinator for the Baileys Harbor Community Association says the festival has grown so much that some set-up changes needed to be done.

A classic auto show which has 75 participants will be on site for the twenty-fourth consecutive year featuring pre-1956 vintage automobiles, tractors, trucks and motorcycles have been added for the first time this year.  The festival will also include music, food, a farmers market and arts & crafts booths, according to Hatch.   For a schedule of this weekend's Baileys Harbor Autumn Fest, go to this link:
