William "Bill" Roger Van Beaver

William “Bill” Roger Van Beaver, 69, of Brussels was welcomed into eternal rest on March 1, 2019 after a hard-fought battle with heart disease. Bill was born on December 27, 1949 in Green Bay to Roger and Dorothy (Lytie) Van Beaver-Tiede. He was a 1968 graduate of Green Bay East High School where he excelled in sports, lettering in football and basketball. He earned all-league honors in American Legion baseball and continued his love of sports by playing fast pitch softball for TJ Gasman, All Car and Military Golf Land. He also played semi pro football for the Manitowoc Chiefs.

On January 10, 1981 he married Debbie Heimerl. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2005. Bill then married Sandra (Jeanquart) Nellis on June 16, 2007. He worked in manufacturing and also as a construction delivery driver in the Green Bay area. He loved spending time with his family and friends “up north” at their cottage in the Three Lakes area.  He enjoyed working out, fishing at the lake, dancing, and watching the Packers. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and friend to many and will lovingly be remembered and sorrowfully missed.

Bill is survived by his loving wife; Sandy, daughter; Ashlie Van Beaver, mother; Dorothy VanBeaver-Tiede, siblings; Sue Van Beaver, Eugene (Jackie), Gary (Julie), Roger  Jr. (Joanie), Jeff (Tammy), Kathy Carroll (Bart), stepdaughters; Tanya (Tony) Zwick, Tara (Cory) Pierre, Tasha (Jerald) Malvitz, grandchildren; Jacob, Caden, Kennedy, Isaac, Parker, Kate, and Garrett, in-laws; Phyllis Heimerl, Mark (Judye) Heimerl , Amy (Todd) Brauer, Barb (Chris) Derene, Debbie (Greg) Lake, Terri (Jerry) Agamaite, Patti (Dan) Bouchonville. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Roger, Sr.

The family would like to thank the many healthcare providers who were involved in his care. Bill had a strong faith in God and believed in his eternal life in heaven.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Celebration Church, 3475 Humboldt Road.  A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 5:30 P.M. with Rev. Lathan Duncan officiating.
