Debra Lynn Polcen

Debra Lynn Polcen, 63, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
She was born October 28, 1955 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys (Shong) Hirthe.  Deb was raised in Milwaukee and moved to Door County with her family as a teenager.  She met her husband, Donald I. Polcen at an auction and from there, they married and started their family.  She worked in the service industry her entire life.  She was known for her easy-going personality and choice of words.  Deb was a strong-willed woman, who had a huge love for her grandchildren and pets.  She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and collecting dreamsicles and plants.  Deb never sat still and was always on the go.  She had a big heart and was always there to lend a hand to those in need.  Deb loved helping her brother at his camping store.
Deb will be missed by her loving husband, Don; children, Don (Rose) Polcen and Kelly (Cody) Vincent; grandchildren, Michael (Morgan) Routhieaux, Chloe Polcen, and Brady Polcen; brothers and sister, Dale (Lois) Hirthe, Dan (Kim) Hirthe, Julie (Bob) Schultz, and Todd (Becky) Hirthe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark (Peggy) Polcen and Janet Polcen; furry companions, Boo Kitty, Suzzie, and Odie; and many nieces and nephews.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Huehns Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Deb will be laid to rest with her parents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Deb’s name.
Deb’s family wishes to thank to cousin, Lisa Weinrich for always being there for Deb.  An extended thank you to the Sturgeon Bay first responders for their care.
Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Deb may be shared with her family through her tribute page at www.huehnsfuneralhome.com.
