With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, the Turkey Trot is gearing up for another year. The running event, sponsored by Sevastopol’s PTO, features multiple distances and 12 age categories for prospective contestants. Turkey Trot volunteer and Sevastopol Elementary teacher Lisa Bley says the run is a "wonderful event" for runners of all ages to come together and support the community.
Along with the music and snacks, Bley says there will be other activities, such as a chili cook-off.
Sophomore Joe Bruno has his own reasons of why he has enjoyed the Turkey Trot in past years.
The Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, November 3rd. Organizers are encouraging anyone interested to sign up and take part in the yearly tradition.
