Janice M. Lehnert, 93, Algoma, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Sycamore Lodge Senior Living, Algoma.
She was born March 28, 1933, in Algoma to the late Elmer and Marcella (Charles) Lardo. Janice was a graduate of Algoma High School and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Elementary Education and Reading Teacher. She also received a School Librarian certification from Holy Family College. Janice taught for eight years at Southern Door and twenty-seven years at Algoma Elementary School. Janice married Roy Lehnert, May 15, 1954, at St. Mary Rectory, Algoma. Roy preceded her in death July 10, 2011.Janice enjoyed reading, sewing, walking, biking and genealogy.
She is survived by her two daughters Ann Lehnert and Jill Lehnert both of Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, sisters Elaine (Gerald) Olson, Elizabeth (William) Pinchart, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.
There will be a public visitation for Janice, Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, on Bay Settlement Road in Green Bay, from 10:30 until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nicole Collins officiating. Entombment to follow.
