Lewis John Tesnow, 86, of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on April 7, 2026, at Serenity Spring Senior Living at Scandia Village in Sister Bay, WI.
He was born on August 27, 1939, in Sister Bay, the son of Norman and Laura (Kodanko) Tesnow. Lewis attended Gibraltar High School. He worked on the ore ship before becoming a blaster for Fitzgerald Construction, and then for Paschke Blasters. After retiring from blasting, Lewis worked with Bonnie Jo, cleaning private homes throughout Door County. On May 31, 1980, he married the Love of His Life, Bonnie Jo Nordeen. Lewis and Bonnie Jo lived in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Lewis and Bonnie Jo enjoyed taking bus tours, traveling the United States and meeting people. He was a member of Sister Bay Moravian Church.
Lewis will be missed by daughter, Lynn Ohnesorge; son, Karl (Nicole) Tesnow and their daughter, Amy (Josh) and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Kohls and Norma (Roger) Larson; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jo Tesnow, his parents, and brother-in-law, Lloyd Kohls.
Lewis's life will be honored with a memorial service held at Sister Bay Moravian Church, 10924 Old Stage Road, Sister Bay, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:30 am, with Pastor Kerry Krauss officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 10:30 am until time of service. He will be laid to rest in the Sister Bay Moravian Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Sister Bay Moravian Church.
