Eleanor May Sunstrom, 99 years old of Sister Bay, passed away at Cardinal Ridge Residential Care in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Eleanor was born on January 28, 1927 in Ephraim, the daughter of the late John Albert Otto Seiler and Clara Magdelina Elizabeth (Miller) Seiler. She married the late Harold Raymond Sunstrom at Ephriam Moravian Church on December 30, 1953. Eleanor and Harold were blessed with 63 years of marriage. She worked as a housekeeper for local inns and motels along with carrying out the daily duties of a dairy farm. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, especially in her flower beds. She was also very crafty and enjoyed quilting. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds, with hummingbirds and cardinals being her favorite. Eleanor loved her family and is survived by her children, Darlene (Frances Marquardt) Sunstrom of Irma, WI, and Allen (Kathy) Sunstrom of Appleton; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Sunstrom; two brothers, Butch and Austin Seiler; three sisters; Adeline, Eunice, and Alberta. At Eleanor's request there will be a private funeral service with burial at Little Sister Cemetery in the Town of Liberty Grove.
