Area churches celebrate Easter

Churches in Door and Kewaunee Counties are expected to be filled this Sunday as area Christians celebrate Easter. Approximately half of all Americans will find their way to local house of worship to celebrate the holiday. In Kewaunee, Immanuel Lutheran Church interim Pastor Ken Kratz hopes their Sunday guests leave focused on Jesus.

Ellison Bay’s Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church Pastor Jim Honig says people should know Easter is not just a one-time historical event.

This weekend also marked the beginning of Passover for members of the Jewish faith, a celebration that lasts until April 27th. You can listen to the True Meaning of Easter from Friends Community Church in Sturgeon Bay, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kewaunee, and Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay online with this story.
