Lincoln could be next for curbside garbage pickup

Curbside garbage pick up could be coming soon to the town of Lincoln. The town board will vote on a contract with Going Garbage after the company takes questions from some of the town’s residents. Some of the concerns are around the cans either getting knocked down by the wind or being too heavy to be pushed a far distance for some of the residents. Town chairperson Cory Cochart says there are some things to like as well.

If approved, Lincoln residents would have their cans by the first week of June with the monthly cost of $15.85 covered by the township tax levy in 2019 and by special assessment after that. The meeting is slated to take place at the Lincoln Town Hall on April 24th at 7 p.m.
