Gibraltar Prom gets help from the community

The Gibraltar prom is coming up on Saturday and the whole community is responsible for making it happen this year. That includes a donation of $318.81 from the Jandu Petroleum Pride Pumps back in December. Laura Meikle is a middle school art teacher at Gibraltar and she has also been helping to organize the prom. Meikle says without the help of the community donating their time and money, the prom may not have happened this year. They were able to get a DJ who is driving up from Milwaukee to perform. Meikle says the Pride Pumps donation allowed the students to focus more on school instead of having to raise money for the prom.

The Gibraltar Prom takes place on Saturday at the Gordon Lodge. There will be a sit-down dinner starting at 6:30 PM and the dance begins at 8.
