The City of Kewaunee will commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day at Harbor Park near the Tug Ludington. Plans call for a ceremony to honor those killed and those who survived the landing at Normandy Beach, which commenced the liberation of France and Europe from the control of Nazi Germany. Paul Jirtle, Chair of the Tug Committee, says the program will be part celebration and part memorial.
Kewaunee's 75th-anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings will run from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 8th.
