Deputy likes going from patrol to school resource officer

A veteran Door County Sheriff Deputy will go from patrol to Sevastopol Schools next fall.  And that's just fine with Mark Hilsabeck, who will be the full-time school resource officer for the district. Service has been a way of life for Deputy Hilsabeck since he served in the U.S. Air Force prior to joining the Door County Sheriff's Department.  He believes working in the Sevastopol Schools is just one more way of protecting and serving his community.

Joining Hilsabeck as school resource officers will be Deputy Heather Bemmann in the Gibraltar School District and Deputy Greg Medlen in the Southern Door School District.
