For students at Luxemburg-Casco High School, there is no need to order in if they are allowed to go out. Students of school districts in more urban areas across the country are finding food delivery apps like GrubHub to be a useful way to get lunch or dinner brought to them if they cannot go there. Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay are the only districts in Door and Kewaunee Counties that permit their student to leave campus to enjoy a bite to eat during their lunch period. Superintendent Glenn Schlender says Luxemburg-Casco students have been respectful of the privilege.
According to student handbooks for high schools in Door and Kewaunee Counties with a closed campus lunch period, safety is the biggest reason why they are required to dine in the cafeteria.
