Door-Tran celebrates its volunteers

You could help people get around Door County and beyond simply by giving them a ride. Door-Tran celebrated its volunteer drivers at its annual meeting held last week. Door-Tran was able to save over $33,000 in related costs because volunteers provided over 1,300 rides, adding up to about 2,500 hours of drive time. Mobility manager Pam Busch says their volunteers go above and beyond the call of duty.

Door-Tran honored Barb Schaefer, Judy and Dean Krueger, Joe Heilman, Vivian Neinow, and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College for their support of the non-profit organization, which also saw increases in its half-price travel and gas voucher programs in 2018.
