Ice skating coming to Kewaunee

You will be able to lace up your ice skates as soon as this winter at Dana Farm in Kewaunee. The Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors approved a $40,000 donation from Kewaunee County- Wisconsin Farm Technology Days to create the ice rink, build a warming shelter, and renovate the nearby childhood home of Ransom Moore. The Kewaunee County icon is credited with helping start 4-H in Wisconsin over 100 years ago. Board chairperson Bob Weidner says it will be an asset to the area.

Located near the popular Winter Park, ground on the project is expected to be broken sometime this fall. Ice skating at the rink will be free, but you will have to make sure you have the proper equipment yourself before you go.
