Moravian church adds second Blessing Box

The Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church is adding a Blessing Box to the community to help people with food needs when pantries are not open. It's located at 322 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.  The free-standing pantry is similar to the pocket libraries and based on the principle of taking what you need, bring what you can and above all be blessed.  The Reverend Matt Knapp, the pastor of the Moravian Church, says the second Blessing Box location fits in with another nearby effort to bring food to those in need.

A dedication ceremony for the Blessing Box is scheduled for Sunday, September 29th at 11:30 AM at the 4th Avenue location.  This is the second Blessing Box in Sturgeon Bay.  The first one was erected by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay.
