Kewaunee businesses lead charge for broadband access

Since last year, Kewaunee County has been doing a broadband internet study and businesses are out in front as far as demanding better access. Many would assume it's parents. Children in Kewaunee County often have to travel long distances to the local library to find wi-fi for internet to help with homework. The lack of access affects businesses too, hindering them from doing transactions that most take for granted.

For a county that sees high tourist traffic, the inability to process credit cards means lost sales. Many travelers do not like to carry large amounts of cash, preferring to pay with plastic when away for the weekend or on vacation.
