Keeping youth involved

Local organizations like Door County 4-H are always looking for ways to keep their oldest members still engaged. While “last moments” with a group are inevitable, the demands of other opportunities available to them could cause them to drop out sooner. Door County 4-H’s Junior Leaders program brings kids from across the area together to do activities but also take on leadership roles. Door County 4-H Educator Dawn Vandevoort says their Junior Leaders are pivotal to the organization’s success.

Ahead of National 4-H Week, Door County 4-H will host an informational meeting for its Junior Leaders program on Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building in Sturgeon Bay.
