From the newly diagnosed to those in remission, The Healing Project at Door County Medical Center makes sure cancer patients are never alone. The Healing Project began in 2012 to help those inflicted with cancer rebound with integrative therapies to help improve their physical, mental and spiritual health. Acupuncture, massages, and nutrition counseling are just some of the different ways outreach assistant Jennelle Berg says The Healing Project can help produce better outcomes.
The Healing Project offers its services to a limited number of patients for free every year. Door County Medical Center fundraises annually to help offset the costs through a variety of different ways including next week’s Shop and Dine event.
