The Door Peninsula will have the right conditions this weekend for a dazzling Northern Lights show as long as Mother Nature cooperates. Sunday is expected to be cloudy with another round of rain but Saturday evening could provide a narrow window to view the Aurora Borealis. Sister Bay Advancement Association Assistant Coordinator Miluzka McCarthy says the tight timeframe may help draw crowds.
Packing an entire weekend of spectators into a handful of hours amplifies the impact. Sister Bay and Ellison Bay's location on the western side of Northern Door County make them prime viewing locations for the Northern Lights.
