Two seminars between the Door County Economic Development Corporation and local elected leaders were well received. The seminars were designed to explain county policies currently in place that are hindering broadband expansion. DCEDC Executive Director Jim Schuessler says northern communities are enthusiastic about doing what's needed to expand broadband. Schuessler believes residents in those communities need to make their voices heard by county leaders including supporters like County Administrator Ken Pabich.
Schuessler says the DCEDC will also be taking steps to secure more grant money to move broadband access forward.
