Gibraltar continues to take shape

Construction projects currently taking place at Gibraltar Secondary School remain on pace to be finished by the beginning of 2020. The walls of new classrooms are up and plastered while natural light shines in on the new library and media center. This also means the unique experience of attending classes in the mobile units located outside its gym is also just a few weeks away from ending. Principal Gereon Methner credits the teachers and students for continuing to keep their focus despite all the changes going around them.

As one project nears its end, Gibraltar Area School District will have to begin adapting to another one as the Highway 42 resurfacing project begins in earnest this week. While no major impact to busing is occurring at this time, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning on closing the school’s entrance sometime in mid-March.
