Algoma Piggly Wiggly closing in November

After 20 years of operating Craig’s Piggly Wiggly in Algoma, owner Craig Peterman is closing the doors and retiring.  The store announced last week that the business will be permanently closed by the end of November saying “we would like to thank all our customers”.  Peterman says it was a difficult decision but he felt it was time to retire.

Craig’s Piggly Wiggly started offering “going out of business” storewide discounts this past Monday which will stay in effect until the closing.  Peterman says he will be staying in the Algoma area but has not made any plans after retirement.
