The Village of Luxemburg lost power at 2:40 on Monday afternoon thanks to three outages. In total, roughly three-thousand people were affected. Approximately 2,900 had power restored by 5 PM with the last outage resolved after 7 PM. Wisconsin Public Service Communications Specialist Matt Cullen says WPS helped resolve the problems that originated from a transmission line failure.
The line is operated by American Transmission Company, a regional power provider. Transmission lines deliver power from plants to local substations. Schools, businesses, and homes were all affected.
