A Door County-based marine construction company continues to help as many waterfront property owners as it can with erosion control. High water levels, however, remain a big challenge. Death's Door Marine Incorporated of Ellison Bay now has five people working six days a week to meet customer's needs. The company is also investing in new equipment to keep up with demand. Mike Kahr, owner of Death's Door Marine Incorporated, says his company is prioritizing its work schedule to help those who have immediate needs. He adds that's not easy under current conditions.
Kahr says he'll continue to take on clients until weather conditions make it impossible to do any more erosion control work for this construction season.
