Luxemburg

Luxemburg resident Chuck Wagner celebrated the 49th anniversary of his deployment to Vietnam welcoming home some of the very people he served with in the Army. Wagner encouraged some of his military friends to take the Old Glory Honor Flight two years after he took the journey himself. He was among the hundreds lining the halls of Appleton International Airport Wednesday night to welcome home the organization’s 53rd mission waiting for friends who needed an extra push to go on the trip. Wagner says it was just as emotional last night as it was when he returned from the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2017.

Wagner says the experience changed his life after being treated poorly when he returned from the Vietnam War. The Old Glory Honor Flight program has taken hundreds of military veterans dating back to World War II to visit memorials in Washington  D.C. since the organization was founded in 2009.
