Local communities like Sturgeon Bay begin getting into the Halloween spirit this weekend. While the twin villages of Luxemburg and Casco have trick or treat hours on Sunday, Door County communities opt for the festival ahead of the more traditional October 31st date. Thrills on Third in Sturgeon Bay this Saturday gets the whole community involved beginning with a costume parade and contest sponsored by Quantum PC at 10 a.m. followed by family-friendly activities throughout the city in the afternoon. Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Carly Sarkis says the event is fun for everyone.
Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, and Ellison Bay also host Halloween events this weekend.
