Openings available for gardener class

You can learn how to get that green thumb you have always wanted through Door County’s Master Gardener classes. Potential members must go through 36 hours of classroom courses in addition to 24 hours of volunteer time before passing an open book exam at the end. Master Gardeners then donate their time and go through additional training to remain in good standing. Door County UW Extension Agricuture Agent Annie Deutsch says Master Gardeners learn as much as they teach.

Classes take place from the first Wednesday in January to the last Wednesday in March. The Door County Master Gardeners accepts only 12 new students per year.
