Peninsula State Park renovates Nature Center

Work is beginning on an addition to the Nature Center at Peninsula State Park. There could be a short pause in the worst of winter but construction will resume in the spring to be finished by May. The roughly $350,000 project seeks to bring the 80-year-old building into the 21st century. Friends of Peninsula State Park Business Manager Steve Strucely says the changes will be extensive, from the plumbing up.

Strucely says there could be a second phase to the project but it is not yet known when that would be completed.
