Employees need ransomware training

Ransomware is a specific type of malicious software which seeks to lock computer users out of their own network. Computer instructor Daniel Hubing says email is the trojan horse for ransomware to get into a business network.

 


Other preventative measures include having an external backup of your computer systems, having the most recent operating system update, and running full scans with your company's anti-virus software. Hubing is teaming up with Sturgeon Bay Police Officer Chad Mielke for a symposium on ransomware in late November. Businesses and local government employees are specifically encouraged to attend
