Father Edward Looney of St. Francis and St. Mary in Brussels has been digging into unmarked graves at St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Looney has been combing church records to try and uncover who is resting in peace at the cemetery. The rumors behind those anonymous plots are almost too wild to be true.
An original list was announced in March and updates are still being made. On Saturday, Looney will be offering an indulgence for All Souls' Day and blessing a new statue of St. Joseph. The names discovered in Looney's research will be read aloud.
